My soul is impatient with itself, as with a bothersome child; its restlessness keeps growing and is forever the same. Everything interests me, but nothing holds me. I attend to everything, dreaming all the while. … I’m two, and both keep their distance — Siamese twins that aren’t attached.

Wonder Woman Documentary of the Day: Director Kristy Guevara-Flanagan’s Wonder Women: The Untold Story of American Superheroines is a documentary about Wonder Woman and her place in the history of both comics and the feminist movement.

Wonder Women looks at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society’s anxieties about women’s liberation,” Guevara-Flanagan writes, describing the documentary as “an enlightening and entertaining counterpoint to the male dominated superhero genre.”

The film features interviews with comics creators, feminist writers, and TV’s Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter. It is set to debut next month at the South by Southwest film festival.
